Crist tax plan may give small business a break

Gov. Charlie Crist has proposed exempting small businesses from a tax on tangible personal property worth less than $25,000 and making changes to the state's homestead exemption that would affect both residents and businesses. A proposed special election later this year would ask Florida voters to approve a constitutional amendment that would include the tax relief measures. .
